What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Inspector/AOI/Inspector position at UNITY Systems?
Job Purpose:
Monitor and inspect circuit board assemblies manufactured in the SMT department utilizing Automatic Optical (AOI) and/or X-ray (5DX) equipment to ensure product quality and reliability.
Nature of Duties:
· Monitor SMT product at defined station(s) utilizing AOI or 5DX
· Identify components including part numbers, values, package size/shape, placement and solderability
· Report findings to appropriate personnel, and record findings on applicable documentation
Education and Experience Requirements:·
Experience utilizing AOI and/or 5DX equipment
· Working knowledge of IPC workmanship guidelines
· May do a lot of standing and walking and may lift up to 35 pounds.
· Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination necessary.
· Solder certified and experience in electronics or contract manufacturing preferred
· Experience in electronics or contract manufacturing and knowledge of IPC workmanship guidelines preferred
