Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Help Desk Specialist to join our team. You will be providing trouble shooting support to a user community that employs computer systems and networks. This role requires a strong understanding of various operating systems, computer networking, and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently. You may serve as a team leader as different intervals. The ideal candidate will demonstrate patience, simplifying complex technical concepts to assist in resolving technical issues.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, including hardware and software installations.
- Provide comprehensive troubleshooting.
- Assist in computer management tasks, including setup, and configuration.
- Utilize tools such as Jira and Remedy for tracking issues and managing service requests.
- Support various operating systems, including Amazon Web Services (AWSGovCloud).
- Offer exceptional customer service by responding to user inquiries and resolving technical issues promptly.
- Provide post-production deployment support of the Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) which covers the entire procurement process for the Department of Defense (DoD).
- Collaborate with team members to improve IT processes and enhance system functionality.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues as they arise.
Education & Clearance Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Active Secret DoD Clearance
Minimum Experience:
- Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS GovCloud).
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- Understanding of how programs use computer hardware.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on user satisfaction.
- Understanding of computer networking principles and practices.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
