Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Perform industrial cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Carry out routine custodial duties including trash removal, restroom sanitation, and surface cleaning.
- Assist in facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs to management.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
- Support porter duties by moving furniture or equipment as needed for events or maintenance work.
- Occasionally assist with residential painting tasks as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace at all times.
Experience
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning techniques and equipment is a plus.
- Experience in floor care, including buffing and maintenance, is desirable.
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices will be beneficial.
- A strong commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in all areas of responsibility.
