Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Environmental Services Attendant to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment within our facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial cleaning and custodial services, particularly in a hospital or healthcare setting. You will be responsible for ensuring that all areas are properly sanitized and adhere to OSHA standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning and sanitization of patient rooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
- Conduct floor care including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and properly stored.
- Follow established protocols for infection control and safety procedures.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with waste disposal and recycling efforts in accordance with environmental services guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning tasks completed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques and equipment operation.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations related to environmental services.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to providing high-quality service.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
