Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness across commercial, industrial, and residential spaces.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
- Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, waxing, and stripping as needed.
- Carry out custodial duties in accordance with established protocols for commercial cleaning.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks to ensure all areas are well-kept.
- Respond to cleaning requests from staff or management promptly.
- Ensure that all cleaning supplies are stocked and maintained properly.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred.
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices is an asset.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning techniques and equipment operation.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good organizational skills and time management abilities.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks throughout the shift.
- Experience with residential painting is a plus but not required.
