Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Specialty : Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Job Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 12-hour day shifts (7 : 00 AM - 7 : 00 PM), every other weekend

Guaranteed Hours : 36 or 48 hours per week

Experience :

License : IA or compact license required

Certifications : Must-Have :

Job Description :

• Provide nursing care for patients with common diagnoses such as Post-Op CAB, Thoracotomy, Mastectomy and Breast Reconstruction, General Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Gynecological Surgery, Urology Surgery, ENT Surgery, Dialysis, and Peritoneal Dialysis.
• Manage medical overflow patients.
• Work within a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 : 5.
• Perform charting using EPIC software.
• Wear scrubs in authorized colors : blue variations including Caribbean and navy.
• Provide float support to RN and PCT STL Float Pool as needed.
• Perform special procedures such as chest tube insertion.
• Possess strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Note : Local candidates within a 60-mile radius are considered with a rate adjustment. Every Monday is an available start date for this role. The environment consists of a 41-50 bed unit. Orientation will be 0 hours.
