The Environmental Services Lead, acting under the general direction of the Supervisor of Environmental Services, guides environmental services staff members on a daily basis within Methodist West Hospital. This positions primary responsibility is for planning, organizing and overseeing the workflow for a designated shift to ensure the overall cleanliness of Methodist West Hospital for patients, visitors and staff members.

- Performs cleaning functions throughout the hospital to help ensure overall facility cleanliness as
- Develops and monitors work schedules for a single shift on a daily/weekly/monthly basis to ensure each unit has the appropriate staffing
- Guides and trains new employees to ensure proper housekeeping techniques are being utilized and patient safety and employee safety is being
- Leads, encourages and coaches environmental services team members with regards to the importance of team
- Completes other assigned tasks by Environmental Services Manager and Monitors bed board and assigns rooms as appropriate
Minimum Requirements
Preferred or Specialized
Education:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Bachelor’s degree
Experience:
One or more years of supervisory or lead experience preferred
License(s)/Certification(s):
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Ability to read, write and understand English
Other:
Must be able to communicate effectively and display a positive attitude towards coworkers, staff, visitors and patients.
