Overview
As a member of the laboratory team, the courier transports specimens, supplies, parcels, and written communication between UPH system divisions throughout the Siouxland area while driving a licensed UPH vehicle. The courier loads, unloads, and transports materials between the laboratory and the system clients.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions / Responsibilities :
- Transports specimens, supplies, parcels, and written communication between laboratory and outreach clients while driving a licensed UPH vehicle. Loads and unloads vehicle while maintaining the integrity of specimens for shipment, room temperature, refrigerated, or frozen. Maintains pickup and delivery records for the pick-ups, deliveries, and responds to STAT and unusual delivery and / or pick-up requests in a timely manner.
- Maintains the cleanliness of the UPH vehicle; interior and exterior
- Coordinates the scheduled maintenance such as an oil changes, tire rotations etc.

Education :
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience :
3-5 years driving experience
Clean driving record required
License(s) / Certification(s) :
Obtain OSHA Bio-Hazard Certification within 30 days from date of hire and maintain annually.
Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
