Responsibilities
The Unit supervisor: Provides leadership as part of unit management team. Coordinates unit management activities in conjunction with manager/director. Facilitates unit staff development in collaboration with manager/director. Carries out the day-to-day operation plan of the unit under the direction of the manager/director. Serves as a resource to other health team members on the assigned unit. Works collaboratively with other departments to facilitate cost effective health care. The patients to be served may include: infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Assumes patient care assignment based on unit needs.
Qualifications

Education:
| Registered nurse with active RN license. Willing and able to achieve BSN within 3 years. | BSN |
Experience:
| One-year experience as a registered nurse. | Experience in specialty area. |
License(s)/Certification(s):
| Current Iowa license as a registered nurse. Current BCLS (CPR) Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons. |
