Responsibilities
Coordinate In-Home Care Services – Schedule initial home care appointments, arrange equipment delivery, and obtain insurance authorizations. Utilize the home care coordination team to ensure seamless service for patients and referrals.
Manage Patient Intake & Communication – Process incoming referrals, gather demographic and financial information, verify insurance benefits, and direct inquiries to the appropriate service lines. Maintain clear and professional communication with patients, referral sources, and third-party payers.
Ensure Compliance & Customer Satisfaction – Maintain knowledge of regulations, follow up with patients, and provide excellent customer service. Assist with team coordination as needed, participate in on-call rotations, and uphold UnityPoint at Home’s reputation as a high-quality care provider.
Qualifications
- One year medical experience/previous health care or home care related Intake/Coding customer service experience
- High-school diploma
