Medical Staff Performance Improvement - Nurse Specialist

Responsible for coordinating and assisting medical case review processes and provider Peer Review.Oversight of provider Focused and Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (FPPE / OPPE).Integral in support of physician quality reviews and unusual occurrences
Responsibilities
Clinical Excellence guidance for Providers
- Acts as a resource for Medical Staff
- Oversight of Focused and Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluations for Providers
- Provides guidance and support for determination of OPPE assessment criteria and performance indicators for the medical staff based on national standards
- Promotes a culture of continuous improvement and transparency with physicians and allied health members
- Coordinates with Physician Services department for provider orientation to include safe work practices, Critical Events committee, serious safety events, Peer Review, Red Rules / Code of Conduct, FPPE and OPPE
- Exercise discretion in all required communications to prevent HIPPA violations and provider confidentiality disclosures.
