Overview
To provide high quality radiographs, at a technical level, so as not to require constant supervision. To assist the Radiologist in the performance of advanced procedures. Responsibilities
Clinical Excellence / Patient Care
Serves as a liaison between the Radiology Department, students, hospital staff and physicians.
Assists in the educational training of the Student Radiologic Technologists.
Assists with quality assurance processes.
Demonstrates initiative to improve quality and customer service.
Balances team and individual responsibilities, objective and open to other’s views, gives and welcomes feedback, contributes to positive team goals, puts success of team above own interest.

This position may be assigned a specific mission to address in an emergency situation to assist in disaster response and recovery as part of the UnityPoint Health – Des Moines Hospital Emergency Incident Command System. Situations of a critical nature may require an individual to perform multiple tasks until additional support can be obtained.

Practice reflects knowledge of HIPAA, HFAP, DIA, OSHA and other federal / state regulatory agencies guiding healthcare.

Demonstrates the knowledge that patient and workplace safety is a priority by preventing errors, accidents and infections and reporting potential or actual concerns immediately.
Qualifications
Education :
Graduation from an AMA approved School of Radiology Technology
Experience :
None
License(s) / Certification(s) :
Maintain ARRT CEU requirements
Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain certification within three (3) months from date of hire.
Current Valid Driver’s License and car insurance may be required when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
