Responsibilities
- Provide Patient-Centered Pediatric Care: Assess and address the unique physical, emotional, and developmental needs of pediatric patients and their families. Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, utilizing specialized knowledge and clinical skills appropriate for the pediatric population.
- Educate and Support Families: Deliver age-appropriate education to pediatric patients and their families, including instructions for care, medications, and follow-up needs. Adapt teaching methods to the family's cultural background, readiness to learn, and level of understanding.
- Ensure Pediatric Safety and Compliance: Prioritize safety by adhering to infection prevention protocols, monitoring for signs of distress or complications, and responding promptly to pediatric emergencies. Maintain compliance with pediatric-specific regulatory standards and best practices in a hospital setting.
Education:
- Diploma from an RN program
- Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in primary state.
- Must apply within 90 days for licensure in secondary state.
- Must possess maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Must obtain maintain Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
