The Supervisor of the Specimen Processing department is responsible for the direct supervision of personnel, supplies, equipment, and procedures for Specimen Processing. Works with management to ensure timely and accurate processing of samples, troubleshooting problems, and improving processes to meet the needs of the department.

Qualifications:
- Associate degree in a biological science, Medical Laboratory Technician, or equivalent
- Extensive, comparable, and proven experience in a similar environment may be considered in lieu of education.
- 3 years of relevant experience in a clinical laboratory or large specimen processing department.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Medical Technologist
- Previous lead or supervisory role.
- Familiarity with Sunquest, Epic and/or other laboratory software systems.
- Experience in a direct patient care setting.
- ASCP or equivalent.
