The University of Sioux Falls (USF) Athletics program is seeking qualified students for unpaid student internships in athletics. This opportunity is available exclusively to current USF students majoring in Media Studies or Sports Marketing and Media.
Internship Overview:
- Interns will gain hands-on experience and insight into the challenges and opportunities within USF Athletics.
- The internship is designed to provide practical experience in sports media, marketing, compliance, and management.
- The Media Studies program offers associate degrees in Social Media Marketing, Media Studies, and Graphic Design, as well as bachelor’s degrees in Media Studies and Sports Marketing and Media.
- This unpaid internship is equivalent to 3 semester hours/credits and is repeatable once.
Requirements:
- The internship requires approval from the course instructor and the Academic Success Center with the Athletic Department serving as supervisors once students are placed.
- Applicants must:
- Be enrolled as a part-time or full-time student at USF.
- Have successfully completed MED204 prior to the start of the internship.
- Be pursuing a Media Studies or Sports Marketing and Media major.
- A background check and additional paperwork are required before the internship begins.
