The North American Rail Procurement Manager will proactively source, negotiate and lead the Univar Solutions rail services to achieve operational excellence, superior customer service and maximize cost effectiveness. The Manager will lead discussions about Univar’s rail, vendor relationships, and rail freight contracts in accordance with Univar Solutions standards.
WHAT YOU’LL DO :
- Manage commercial rail procurement activities, including railcar leasing and rail freight sourcing, pricing, negotiation and contracting.
- Manage rail freight contract terms and renewals. Provide rate estimates and contracts to meet business’ requirements.
- Participate in freight auditing and payment processing.
- Participate in day-to-day railcar interactions with Product Managers, Commercial leaders, railroads procurement teams, and Railroad administrators.
- Represent Univar’s interest within industry groups / association, i.e. American Assn of Rail Shippers.
