What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payments Representative position at Universal 1 Credit Union?
POSITION PURPOSE
Responsible for performing a variety of responsibilities which include, but is not limited to, the accurate and timely processing of electronic payment services as assigned. Keeps records and accounts accurate and current. Researches and resolves discrepancies and errors. Completes related reports, summaries, and records. Conducts special projects as assigned. Ensures that members are promptly and professionally served. Is aligned with and promotes U1 values.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent. College coursework in related field preferred.
Experience Required:
- One year of financial services experience; electronic payment experience preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of basic accounting concepts and procedures including account reconciliation.
- Understanding of the Federal Reserve Banking system.
- Knowledge of related computer applications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
- Able to use PC, calculator, and other basic business machines.
- Well organized and detail oriented.
- Good math skills.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Cooperative and willingness to assist others.
