Description
Job Summary: The Sales Coordinator is responsible for engaging with potential clients and existing merchants, and selling products, primarily through outbound calls, emails, and following up on leads.
Principle Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain positive relationships with new and existing clients.
- Identify sales opportunities using cold calling, mailing lists, etc.
- Maintain current knowledge of products, including product, pricing, and marketing strategy.
- Research and maintain working knowledge of customer needs, identifying potential opportunities and unfulfilled needs and following up as appropriate.
- Coordinate conversations and provide product demonstrations.
- Negotiate sales terms and close sales deals, in accordance with pre-determined quotas.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including notating information in the lead management system with decision makers and answers to qualifying questions.
- Work collaboratively to solve problems and improve processes.
- May assist in resolving client and consumer complaints and inquiries, backing up the Partner Account Manager as needed.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, including the ability to multi-task.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including a strong ability to communicate via phone and email with clients.
- Excellent customer service skills; service-oriented and able to resolve customer grievances.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to collaborate with a team.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Customer Relationship Management, and related software.
- Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing.
Work Experience:
- 2 years customer service experience required.
- Prior sales experience highly preferred.
Training and Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Complete all required training as assigned.
Working Environment and Requirements to Perform Job Responsibilities
- Ability to work full-time (average of 40 hours per week).
- Ability to work in a shared office, private office, and/or cubicle in accordance with job duties and responsibilities.
- Ability to be on location and/or assigned confidential location(s) for client services for all work hours.
- Effective with shifting roles, responsibilities, and expectations in a changing work environment.
- Ability to see computer screen, read, and complete forms
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds with the ability to push, pull, bend, reach, and sit.
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time/work at a desk.
- Ability to answer the phone in a busy environment – hear callers and be responsive.
- Ability to work in a high intensity/fast paced work environment and be able to multi-task and prioritize.
