Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Parts Validation Specialist with a strong background in automotive repair and diagnostics. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience as a mechanic. This role involves validating product specifications, performing function testing, troubleshooting customer complaints, and ensuring our parts meet the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:Parts Validation and Testing:
- Validate parts using measurement tools, CAD drawings, and original equipment (OE) specifications.
- Conduct functional and performance testing to confirm compatibility and reliability under various conditions.
- Ensure accuracy in part interchangeability by comparing with OE and competitor parts.
Troubleshooting and Customer Support:
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to part performance or compatibility.
- Diagnose issues, identify root causes, and propose corrective actions.
- Provide technical insights to the customer service team to address inquiries effectively.
Quality Assurance and Documentation:
- Maintain detailed records of validation, testing processes, and findings.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to address design or production concerns.
- Recommend improvements to testing protocols to enhance quality and efficiency.
Collaboration and Training:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on product standards.
- Support the development of training materials or guides based on validation outcomes.
Qualifications:Required:
- Minimum of 3-5 years as a mechanic or in a similar hands-on automotive role.
- Proficiency with measurement tools, CAD drawings, and diagnostic equipment.
- Experience with function testing and troubleshooting A/C or HVAC systems.
- Strong understanding of OE standards and product interchanges.
- Exceptional attention to detail in identifying discrepancies in measurements, performance, or specifications.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical reporting and customer interactions.
Preferred:
- ASE certifications are preferred and will result in higher pay.
- Familiarity with automotive A/C and HVAC systems.
- Advanced knowledge of diagnostic tools and data analysis.
