Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Testing :
Exercise and promote safetyKnow the required tools for each job (calipers, COD gages, grips, handset, clevises, pins, clips)Inspect area for tools, safety and needed repairsUtilize and operate chillerWork with MTS 793 softwareWork with TestSuite MPERead lab traveler, test plan and lab release notesPerform quality checks : specimens correct, graph is correct, test values in rangeKnow the different types of fracture orientationsDiagnose interlock errorsCheck calibration date for COD gages / load cellsMeasure specimens and record dataCheck machinesPerform crack test and record dataCheck validity and determine KQ or KICUnderstand the lab flow works for SH TestTrouble-shoot issuesOther duties as assignedCertification :
Exercise and promote safetyKnow software for each job (Cert Program, Final Conductivity App, USI Program, Spreadsheets, Cert Viewer)Complete certification pre-checkInspect area for tools, safety issues and need repairsWork with the Certification Program : import data, pull lots, navigate pages, save certs, add notes, and export completed certificationRead and understand lab traveler, test plan, and lab release notes : how many tests needed, what tests are required, if conductivity is neededPerform quality checks : PDF Cert is correct, notes on Cert, chemistry on certPull up lot numberVerify Tensile and other tests that are required have been completed and passVerify reason if anything shows up red or blueTake proper actions if tests are bad : fill out NCR form, notify Metallurgy, email for press report, email other issuesSaver cert after everything shows greenNavigate to Cert assembly pageCheck lab release and add notes that are required on certSave cert notesGenerate PDF certExport documents to web serverTrouble-shoot quality checks and know what to look forUnderstand lab flow works for CertificationUnderstand the next step for issues (NCR, resample, metallurgy, etc.)Understand the NCR form and how to fill it outCreate resamples as neededEnsure quality of certificates and material being certifiedOther duties as assignedQualifications
Minimum Education : HS Diploma or GEDMinimum Experience : NoneCertifications Required : Crane certification; Forklift certification; Lock-out / Tag-out certification; Pallet jack certificationKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities
