Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of this role include exercising and promoting safety protocols, utilizing proper lifting techniques, understanding weight limitations, and being aware of E-stop locations and their functions. The candidate will also be responsible for filling out forms accurately, understanding scheduling and order priorities, inspecting material for quality, and possessing basic knowledge of machines used in the manufacturing process. Additional duties include reducing handling defects, stacking orders, labeling, and recognizing where to place completed materials. The ideal candidate will perform a safety scanner check and document correctly for their respective machine. Other responsibilities include participating in training and development programs, maintaining accurate records, contributing to a positive team environment, and adhering to company policies and procedures.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of three months' experience in a related field. They must also hold certifications in crane operation, forklift operation, lock-out/tag-out procedures, and pallet jack operation, which will be obtained during new hire orientation. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, mathematical abilities, and reasoning skills, with the ability to carry out and communicate written and/or oral instructions. Physical abilities required include standing for extended periods, reaching with hands and arms, lifting up to 50 pounds, and handling hot metal and tooling.
