Summary
Under the direction of the Facility Manager, this position is responsible for a variety of tasks both routine and non-routine related to the upkeep of the site and building systems. Tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Performing regular inspections and maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and safety systems.
- Conducting repairs and troubleshooting issues as they arise to ensure the continuous operation of the facility.
- Assisting with the setup and breakdown of events, including moving furniture and equipment.
- Monitoring and maintaining inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
- Responding to emergency maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner.
- Comply with safety regulations and building codes.

Qualifications
Education- High school diploma or GED required. Must identify, understand, and exhibit appropriate safety procedures in all aspects of work.
Experience-2 years’ experience in one or more of the following areas: general construction, HVAC, or mechanical systems, building electrical systems, commercial plumbing. . Proficient understanding and proper use of hand and power tools is required. Ability to read floorplans and schematics is preferred.
Language Ability- Must possess strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written formats.
Computer Skills- Proficient with basic computer use and the software applications Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook for email.
Clean driving record- Must have reliable transportation, clean driving record, and proof of insurance. May occasionally be tasked with running errands for facility related needs.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts; work in high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals such as Liquid Nitrogen; outdoor weather conditions and risk of electrical shock.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
