What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Control position at Universal Building Materials?
· Monitors and maintains current inventory levels; tracks orders and investigates problems, when needed.
· Verify inventory on site when needed by sales team/management
· Perform monthly physical count of inventory and reconcile actual stock to Quickbooks inventory.
· Monitors reorder points and initiates action to replenish stock.
· Reconciles discrepancies in inventories
· Perform inventory reports as requested.
· Add, delete and/or edit item codes in QuickBooks.
· Enter items received or bills in QuickBooks for payment. Match invoices with bill of landing when available.
· Payout cash purchases.
· Maintain cash payout register to balance Quickbooks.
· Maintain the store organized.
· Assist shipping & receiving during peak times, as needed.
· Performs miscellaneous job-related duties, such as store cleaning.
· Comply with handbook policies.
· Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $11.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
