As a Debt Collection Specialist, you will be crucial in communicating with consumers to resolve account balances while providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities:
- Engage with consumers via inbound and outbound calls using our dialing system
- Manage multiple accounts and work towards resolving consumer account balances
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills, patience, and diligence with each interaction
- Provide consistent follow-up with consumers to ensure timely resolution
- Collect full balances or negotiate the highest possible payment arrangements with consumers
- Maintain detailed records of all consumer communications and payment arrangements
- Utilize automated dialing technology and manual calling methods effectively
- Adhere to department-specific scripts and follow PCI compliance guidelines
- Process immediate payments, establish recurring payments, and ensure compliance with scripting
- Meet or exceed monthly financial goals set by the company
Requirements:
- Demonstrated skill in negotiating and resolving conflicts
- Persuasive communication skills with the ability to actively listen to consumers
- Strong multitasking abilities and the capacity to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent customer service, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
- Friendly, outgoing personality with a passion for delivering top-notch service
- Proficient computer skills and adaptability to work with various systems
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work both independently and collaboratively
- Critical thinking skills to assess each situation and make informed decisions
- Reliability, responsibility, goal-oriented mindset, and flexibility in work schedules
- Successful completion of pre-employment screening
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of customer service experience (Preferred)
