SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position supports the sales within a specific demographic region or assigned customers, with responsibility for driving sales growth. The Sales Manager is responsible for lead generation, qualification, negotiation and closing sales. Other responsibilities will include communicating with customers, accountability for learning and retaining specific product/brand/equipment information that will be essential to this position based on the number of individual items and brands distributed by Universal Companies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Process customer orders via defined channels
- Identify and cultivate quality leads and nurture them from new and existing customers
- Properly utilize channels and procedures to ensure accuracy with all transitions
- Actively participates in on-going training/education to learn/retain product and brand information
- Required to assist new and existing customers with selection of product and/or equipment in a professional and knowledgeable manner
- Completes customer service interactions to addresses and resolve minor issues while referring more complex issues to the customer service department
- Prepares customer quotes and presentations
- Daily follow up may include on-hold orders, quotes, declined credit card activity and changes in due date pertaining to backorders and more as defined by the department
- Maintains existing customer database with accurate and up-to-date information
- Works with other process channels such as faxed order, emails, Live Chat, and more
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced fun environment
- Proven high volume data entry work experience
- High typing speed and accuracy
- Technical ability with current sales tools
- Demonstrated time management and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage and prioritize activities, multi-task, and follow tasks to completion
- Excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication skills
- Preferred understanding of the spa/salon industry and related products
- Aptitude and excitement to learn
- Excellent computer skills; Microsoft Office, Outlook, RMS, Excel and experience with Oracle based systems preferred
- Outgoing personality is a plus
Education/Experience
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent education
- Experience in the following a big plus:
- Customer service experience
- Understanding of salon and spa products
- Previous regional B2B sales experience
- Requires travel for tradeshows, customer meetings, trainings and events
