Duties & Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot building automation systems (BAS) and associated devices
- Ability to perform (BAS) service calls with little or no support
- Strong customer skills
- Perform calibration of various types of building automation controls
- Assist in developing and maintaining building automation control SOO and documentation
- Assist in the development of building automation control programs
- Install, program, and maintain (BAS)
- Develop and maintain graphic user interface (GUI) of building automation system using frontend software
- Preform (BAS) preventive maintenance including regular system backups and evaluations of systems for errors
- Maintain knowledge of current industry trends and practices
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate degree in mechanical engineering, HVAC maintenance, or related field experience preferred
- 3-5 years’ experience in a control’s technician or similar role
- Strong computer skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
- Working knowledge of DDC systems such as Niagara N4, JCI, Trane, Honeywell, and/or Distech controls
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent field experience
- 5 years’ experience in a control’s technician or similar role
- Certification from an accredited trade school or apprenticeship program
- Strong understanding of all aspects of building automation systems
- Niagara N4 certification
