Job Summary

The Business Process Improvement Intern will have the opportunity to collaborate with industry professionals, gaining valuable knowledge, skills, and networking opportunities within business process improvement and data-driven decision-making. In this position, our intern will learn how to capture and document business requirements, analyze and enhance key processes, and curate meaningful data reports to support project management system improvements. The intern will gain hands-on experience working with systems such as PMWeb, Power BI, and Power Automate while collaborating with IT, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process optimization. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in data reporting, process analysis, and collaborative problem-solving within a dynamic organizational environment.

Major Responsibilities

• Works with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure alignment of departmental processes and capture business requirements across departments.
• Assists in evaluating and enhancing existing or new business processes, including streamlining workflows, automating tasks, refining data reporting, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Assists in curating and generating data reports to provide actionable insights that support process improvements and decision-making.
• Records all enhancements and changes made to the project management system, ensuring updates are accurately reflected in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Performs miscellaneous tasks as needed to support the business process improvement and training development team in achieving their objectives.
• Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Junior or above.
• Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
• A transcript is required upon application.
• Preferred majors include: Industrial Engineering, Business Management, Data Analytics, or similar.
• Preferred coursework completed: Business Process Analysis, Management Information Systems, Data Analytics, Project Management, or similar.
  
  

Preferred Skills & Knowledge

• Experience with workflow automation tools (e.g., Power Automate), reporting tools (e.g., Power BI), and/or process mapping (e.g., Visio) is preferred.

• This internship will be an in-person experience, based in our Orlando offices.
• Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than December 2025.
• Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
