Job Summary

Intern will have the opportunity to create, develop, and execute engaging events and programs that influence the culture at Universal Creative. They will learn about the entire planning cycle of events from ideation to day-of logistics, working with vendors, and procuring products. They will learn the benefits of networking and workplace culture. The learning goal for this semester will be to learn how the impact of successful programs positively influences Team Members' engagement and affects overall employee morale.

Major Responsibilities

• Contribute ideas and initiatives to enhance employee engagement through events.
• Assists with events like UC Gives Thanks, UC Holiday Party, Maker Faire Orlando, Community Food Drive and DEI activations.
• Collaborate with HR to creative events that align with the organization’s culture and values. Supporting the team on programs such as global mentoring, wellbeing, orientation, and pathfinder.
• Manage event registrations, RSVPs, and attendance tracking.
• Assist with participant communication, providing information about event details and logistics.
• Helps flourish partnerships, such as confirming speakers, organizing presentations, and day-of logistics for the University of Central Florida Creative Lab.
• Participates in HR related training and development activities, learning about HR practices and strategies.
• Assists with support and planning of UC Team Member Experience partnership recruitment conferences and job fairs events.
• Creates verbal and/or graphics content to support events and programs.
• Updates and upload Team Member Experiences Resources SharePoint site.
• Participates in meetings and assist with special projects.
• Recommends and create SOPs to improve department efficiency and overall functionality.
• Gains exposure to departments within HR through collaboration and departmental partnerships to learn about our organization.
• Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Sophomore or above.
• Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
• A transcript is required upon application.
• Preferred majors include: Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Business Management, or similar.
  
  

Preferred Skills & Knowledge

• Familiarity with graphic design, Canva and/or SharePoint design.

• This internship will be an in-person experience, based in our Orlando offices.
• Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than December 2025.
• Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
• All of our internships are paid, and you may also qualify for housing financial assistance if applicable. The Recruiter will provide specific eligibility details.
