Intern will allow exposure to the design, development and commissioning of computerized ride and show control systems. Intern will become familiar with industry specifications, standards, and engineering best practices in an applied manner, supporting analysis and testing of ride control systems and ride control system components. Intern will allow exposure to the design, development and commissioning of computerized ride and show control systems. The intern will learn about the processes and systems that ensure the safety of our Guests as they experience our various attractions.
Major Responsibilities
- Assists with ongoing and upcoming analysis/testing data acquisition projects.
- Supports ongoing Universal Creative projects as necessary.
- Conducts on-site walk-throughs of ongoing construction view and analysis of design documentation for computer hardware and software.
- Supports hands-on implementation of computer hardware and software for prototypes or proofs of concept.
- Analyzes existing ride data to determine trends and trouble shooting.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Sophomore or above.
- Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
- A transcript is required upon application.
- Preferred majors include: Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar.
- Preferred coursework completed: Programming Languages, Robotics, Control Theory.
- Knowledge in Mechanical Design, Drafting, and 3D Modeling.
- Experience with 6 Sigma, Python, and/ Basic Computer Programming.
- This internship will be an in-person experience, based in our Orlando offices.
- Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than December 2025.
- Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
- All of our internships are paid, and you may also qualify for housing financial assistance if applicable. The Recruiter will provide specific eligibility details.
