The intern will be assisting the Ride and Show team with upcoming projects for Universal Creative. This includes preparing technical criteria, evaluating new technology application, and assisting in coordinating creative requirements and changes. It is expected that the intern will be integrated into the daily project development and learn/experience the issues, challenges, and rewards in a “real life” setting. Intern will develop an understanding of Engineering data collection and gain the soft skills required to communicate technical information with team members of a wide variety of backgrounds.

Major Responsibilities
- Aids in writing technical requests for proposals and evaluating technical proposals.
- Works alongside ride and show engineers to troubleshoot and develop improvements.
- Assists RI’s in managing vendors and integrating deliverables into facility design and other disciplines, as required.
- Develops PowerPoint presentations of technical review and/or planning.
- Assists in developing technical requirements to support creative intent.
- Provides feedback on vendor’s concepts or preliminary designs of various ride/show elements.
- Develops and organizing drawings and reference materials for RFIs and RFPs.
- Participates in team coordination meetings regarding Ride and Show scopes.
- Assists in evaluating and studying the feasibility of new technologies.
- Assists in the coordination of show systems within Facility and show sets.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Sophomore or above.
- Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
- A transcript is required upon application.
- Preferred majors include: Mechanical Engineering, or similar.
- Experience with Solidworks, Microsoft Project, Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD.
- This internship will be an in-person experience, based in our Orlando offices.
- Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than December 2025.
- Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
- All of our internships are paid, and you may also qualify for housing financial assistance if applicable. The Recruiter will provide specific eligibility details.
