The Facility Design intern will work closely with the Sr. Facility Design Manager and project facility design team to maintain organized documentation and effective communication with team members and stakeholders. The intern will support ongoing projects through the development of design drawings and presentations, organization of construction documentation, and the regular participation in project lifecycle tasks and meetings.
Major Responsibilities
- Assists the Sr. Facility Design Manager (FDM) and project facility design team in the management of design deliverable packages and facility tracking logs.
- Supports the development of design drawings and presentations.
- Tracks and manages construction administration logs for submittals, RFIs, change orders, and site observation reports.
- Collaborates with the Sr. Facility Design Manager and project facility design team to ensure timely and accurate completion of all project tasks.
- Participates in regular team meetings and ensure that all tasks are aligned with project goals and timelines.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Sophomore or above.
- Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
- A transcript is required upon application.
- Preferred majors include: Architecture, or similar.
- Experience working with Autodesk Revit, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign & Photoshop), and/or Sketchup.
- Familiarity with additional design and modeling applications.
- This internship will be an in-person experience, based in our Orlando offices.
- Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than December 2025.
- Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
- All of our internships are paid, and you may also qualify for housing financial assistance if applicable. The Recruiter will provide specific eligibility details.
