Key Responsibilities:
- Emergency Room Support: Assist nurses and doctors in providing swift, efficient care to patients in urgent need.
- Monitor Vital Signs: Accurately take and record vitals—temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates—because every second counts.
- Wound Care: Clean and dress wounds, applying your knowledge to support rapid healing and reduce risks.
- Equipment Preparation: Ensure all medical tools and equipment are sanitized, set up, and ready for action.
- Patient Transport: Safely and swiftly transfer patients within the hospital for tests, imaging, or treatment.
- CPR and First Aid: Provide immediate life-saving interventions when needed (your BLS training saves the day!).
- Emotional Support: Reassure patients and their families with calm, confident care during high-stress situations.
- Documentation: Maintain precise patient records to keep the ER team informed and aligned.
- Collaborate with the Team: Work hand-in-hand with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Current ER Tech certification or equivalent experience in emergency care.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a hospital or emergency room setting preferred.
- Skills: Quick-thinking, multitasking, and exceptional communication skills.
- BLS Certification: Required (because saving lives is your superpower).
- Attitude: Positive, calm under pressure, and ready to rise to the challenge.
