Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care:
Provide skilled nursing care to Med Surg patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being at all times.
- Administer Medications and Treatments:
Follow physician orders for medications, wound care, and other treatments while monitoring patient responses.
- Monitor Patient Conditions:
Perform assessments, track progress, and promptly report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Documentation:
Maintain accurate and thorough patient records, ensuring all care provided is clearly documented.
- Collaboration:
Work closely with RNs, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Patient Education:
Educate patients and their families on care plans, post-discharge instructions, and overall health management.
- Emotional Support:
Be there for patients with empathy and encouragement, providing a calming and reassuring presence.
Qualifications:
- Current LPN License in Missouri (or eligibility to obtain).
- BLS Certification required (because lifesaving is your specialty!).
- Med Surg Experience: A minimum of 1 year preferred, but we welcome eager learners!
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- A positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
