Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality patient care under the supervision of physicians and registered nurses. The LPN will assist with medical procedures, administer medications, monitor patient health, and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure effective care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care and administer prescribed medications.
- Monitor vital signs and assess physical and emotional changes.
- Assist with diagnostic tests and medical procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and self-care.
- Ensure patient safety and follow infection control protocols.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
Experience:
- One year of nursing experience preferred.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of nursing principles, medications, and procedures.
- Understanding of medical terminology and coding guidelines.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to respond calmly in emergencies.
License & Certification:
- Active Pennsylvania Practical Nurse License.
- BLS certification (American Heart Association, renewed every two years).
Working Conditions:
- Fast-paced medical office environment with potential exposure to illnesses and bodily fluids.
- May require irregular hours and occasional travel.
Physical Demands:
- Standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods.
- Lifting and assisting patients, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
