Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using radioactive materials to help diagnose and treat various medical conditions. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care and accurate diagnostic evaluations.
Duties
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients according to established protocols and safety standards.
- Perform PET scans and other nuclear medicine imaging procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the process.
- Utilize aseptic techniques during the preparation and administration of radioactive materials.
- Conduct thorough diagnostic evaluations by analyzing images and providing detailed reports to physicians.
- Maintain knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and nuclear medicine principles to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and safety protocols related to radiation exposure.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop patient care plans based on imaging results.
- Keep accurate records of procedures performed, patient information, and radiopharmaceutical usage.
Experience
Candidates should possess a solid foundation in nuclear medicine technology, including:
- Proficiency in medical imaging techniques and equipment operation.
- Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge, physiology knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to nuclear medicine.
- Experience in performing diagnostic evaluations using various imaging modalities.
- Familiarity with the principles of aseptic technique in a clinical setting.
