Job Description:
CHI St. Alexius Health Garrison Hospital is seeking a dedicated RN for our Long-Term Care (LTC) department. This role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of our residents while providing essential care in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Act as Charge Nurse for the LTC unit, providing leadership and coordination for daily operations.
- Administer medications and ensure accurate medication documentation.
- Perform wound care and manage complex wound treatments.
- Oversee the care of residents with common diagnoses such as heart disease, diabetes, and dementia.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans for residents.
- Monitor and assess the health status of residents, reporting any changes in condition.
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for residents and staff.
Required Qualifications:
- Licensure: Current RN license in the state of North Dakota (or compact state).
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience: Long-Term Care (LTC) experience preferred.
- Skills: Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.
