Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU for a 13-week contract position in Redding, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in intensive care nursing, providing specialized care for critically ill patients.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess critically ill patients in the ICU.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.
- Provide patient education regarding disease management and post-discharge care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and best practices.
Requirements:
- Active RN license in California (or ability to obtain before start date)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU unit
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong knowledge of intensive care procedures and emergency response protocols
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
