Shift: Evening Shift (5x8)

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) for a 13-week contract in Pittsfield, MA. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in sterilizing, assembling, and distributing surgical instruments and medical equipment in a healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment
- Operate sterilization equipment, including autoclaves and other disinfection systems
- Ensure all instruments and trays are properly labeled, stored, and distributed
- Follow strict infection control and sterilization protocols
- Collaborate with surgical teams, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure timely availability of sterile instruments
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and inventory management
- Identify and report damaged or malfunctioning instruments
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) preferred
- Strong understanding of infection control procedures and sterilization techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital or surgical center environment
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
