Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist for a 13-week contract in Bismarck, ND. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in surgical procedures and operating room assistance. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare operating rooms, ensuring all necessary equipment and instruments are sterile and ready for procedures
- Assist surgeons and nurses during surgical procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols
- Monitor and account for surgical instruments and supplies before, during, and after procedures
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and efficiency during operations
- Properly handle and dispose of surgical specimens following hospital guidelines
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of surgical tech experience
- Certification: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, aseptic techniques, and operating room procedures
- Ability to work collaboratively in a high-pressure environment
