Key Responsibilities:
- Surgical Prep: Set up and sterilize instruments, equipment, and the operating room to ensure every procedure starts smoothly.
- Assist During Surgery: Pass instruments to surgeons, maintain a sterile field, and anticipate the needs of the surgical team.
- Instrument Care: After procedures, clean, decontaminate, and ensure all instruments are ready for the next case.
- Patient Safety: Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and restock surgical supplies to keep the OR running like a well-oiled machine.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses to deliver seamless patient care.
- Documentation: Accurately log procedures, instrument usage, and any other relevant details.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification in North Dakota.
- Experience: Previous experience in an OR setting is a must.
- Skills: Excellent attention to detail, quick thinking, and the ability to stay cool under pressure.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
