Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technician to join our team at a Level II Trauma Center. The ideal candidate will assist in various surgical procedures and ensure the operating room is set up for surgeries.
Duties
- Prepare operating rooms for surgery
- Assist the surgical team during procedures
- Sterilize and maintain surgical instruments
- Handle specimens for laboratory analysis
- Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room
- Provide support to patients before, during, and after surgery
Skills
- Proficiency in medical terminology
- Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
- Familiarity with infection control protocols
- Experience in emergency medicine and hospital medicine
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic life support certification
- Strong organizational and communication skills
