Job Description:
We are seeking a Surgical Tech – Operating Room to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. As part of the surgical team, you will play a key role in ensuring patient safety and procedural efficiency throughout the perioperative process. This includes preparing patients for surgery, assisting during procedures, and providing post-operative care as needed. Candidates should be comfortable communicating with patients about surgical outcomes and supporting the OR team during operations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist surgeons during operative and invasive procedures
- Ensure operating rooms are sterile, organized, and fully equipped
- Provide patient care before, during, and after surgery
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the surgical team
- Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment
- Educate patients and families on post-surgical expectations and care
Submission Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 months experience in an Operating Room setting – Required
- No special scheduling requirements – Required
- NBSTSA Certification – Preferred but not required; applicants without certification will still be considered
- Must provide complete work history and permanent address
- Note: Local candidates may be considered at a reduced rate
Preferred Skills:
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures
Certifications:
- NBSTSA (Preferred)
