The UHS Corporate Benefits Department is hiring a Benefits Analyst to support the Corporate Benefits Department through administration, data maintenance and analysis required to operate the Company’s benefit programs, with an emphasis on health and welfare plans. A key focus of the role will be to support the management of UHS’ life & disability programs (including life insurance claim filing and general vendor management), QMSCO and CMS administration support, and working with benefit carriers and vendors on reporting, data requests, and invoicing.
Key Responsibilities include :
Coordinate & administer UHS’ disability and life insurance programs, including life insurance claim filing across all lines of business. Regularly audit claims records and status, leave of absence records (including Military leave), and other related tasks
Maintain advanced working knowledge of HRIS and out-sourced benefits administration system including report writing, audits and data analysis. Handle audit and report requests from vendors as needed
Support the administration of QMCSO filings and CMS-related tasks including Data Match, completing Medicare forms, and handling claims
Administer direct bill process including audits and data extraction updates
Respond to cases from the UHS Benefits Service Center. May handle escalated issues and appeals
Provide benefit data administration during Annual Enrollment, including user acceptance testing, data audits and communications support. Support the administration of acquisition activity
Assist with maintaining and updating information on the UHS Benefits Portal
Work closely with Manager - Employee Benefits and other members of the Benefits team on department projects
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with 1 - 3 years' experience in a corporate benefits role.
- Functional knowledge of HR and Benefits with a strong background in systems
- Strong understanding of compliance laws governing employee benefits including, but not limited to ERISA, COBRA, ACA and other Benefits regulations
- Excellent analytical skills required, including initiating and managing data audits. Must be detail oriented, self-starter and display excellent follow through skills. Must meet timelines and deadlines
- Strong communication and customer service skills. Timely and thorough communication aptitude when working with employees, other UHS departments and UHS’ vendor partners
- Strong project and time management skills
- Advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Office products, especially Microsoft Excel, required
- Experience working with HRIS systems required, Workday experience strongly preferred
