Reporting to the Director of Finance for the Behavioral Health Division, the Sr. Manager, FP&A serves as a business partner for key matrixed stakeholders by overseeing the budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes within stakeholders’ divisions and / or departments. Provides strategic financial insights to support decision-making by analyzing data, building financial models, and communicating key trends. Assists with creating proformas and provides support, and strategic analysis of growth opportunities as they arise. Provides input and guidance to the BH finance development workstreams that seek to develop the overall finance competencies of the organization.

Provides insight and analysis into monthly reporting, financial statement, and operational reviews, helping to identify trends and areas of opportunities to support the BH Division financial performance.

Serves as main business partner to the VP Support Service Operations (including Intake and Telehealth), VP Business Development, SVP Payer Contracting, and SVP Clinical Operations, providing analysis and support to inform the strategic direction of these departments.

Provide direct support to SVP BH Finance on strategic projects as they arise.

Develop overall structure and evergreen training program in support of the finance development teams to ensure a robust program is in place to deliver best-in-class finance support to the organization.

Performs other duties as assigned / required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required (Master’s Preferred)
  • 5-8 years of related experience required (8-10 years preferred)
  • Working knowledge of GAAP; understanding of the financial management, business, and clinical operations of healthcare enterprises preferred
  • Ability to interpret, dissect, and prepare internal financial reports to help provide clarity and understanding of the key drivers of business performance.
  • Extensive experience interpreting abstract pieces of financial analysis and performance.
  • Experience acting as a business partner to operational leaders and helping to lead the strategic direction of critical components of the business infrastructure
  • Experience analyzing and exploring means of reducing operating costs and increasing revenues based on knowledge of market trends, financial reports, and operating procedures.
  • Experience reviewing long and short-range plans, which may include service demand analyses, resources availability analyses, productivity, and cost benefit analyses of proposed capital and staff expansions.
  • Must be able to administer the operating and capital budgets and monitor financial and economic information to identify trends and indicators that may impact business operations, planning, etc.
  • Ability to execute and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
