Canyon Ridge Hospital is currently seeking a compassionate and talented Director of Quality Assurance & Performace Improvement to join our team.

Canyon Ridge Hospital has serviced the Greater Inland Empire since 1989. Canyon Ridge is a 157-bed acute, locked psychiatric facility offering services to adolescents ages 13-17, adults and older adults.

We believe in an individualized, patient-focused approach to diagnosis and treatment. For some, anxiety or drug dependence looks different from others with the same diagnoses, and in some cases, behavioral health and substance use disorders occur simultaneously. POSITION SUMMARY

As Director of Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement, is responsible for the hospital-wide planning, directing, and organization of the PI/Staff Development activities and submission of reports to Administration, Medical Executive Committee and the Governing Body. Leads Performance Improvement Committee and implements improvement measures based on findings from trend analysis. Monitors productivity and quality of departmental services, ensures adequate coverage, and provides education to staff. Will be responsible for monitoring compliance with all State, Federal, and Joint Commission regulations and standards. Assists with preparation for Joint Commission and other surveys and audits as necessary. Coordinates educational events and provides employees the opportunity of improving skills and knowledge base by providing and facilitating in-services. Collaborates with Human Resources regarding New Hire Orientation. Acts as a liaison with the Infection Control Practitioner to ensure implementation and maintenance of a hospital-wide Infection Control Program. Responsible to work within departmental budgets.


Qualifications

  • At a minimum, a Bachelor's degree from an accredited school or 4 years of experience in a Behavioral Health setting.
  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • Familiarity with regulations and requirements of The Joint Commission, Title 22, and Medicare.
  • Must have the ability to develop criteria based reports and policies; possess excellent written and verbal skills; be assertive yet professional with interpersonal skills for internal and external relations;
  • Possesses interpersonal skills necessary to relate to physicians, senior management, and other professional staff.
  • Able to organize projects and work assignments and apply good management techniques while supervising staff.
