Rolling Hills is expanding our Transportation Department and looking for a Driver to join our team. The Driver participates in the development and implementation of the transportation of patients after discharge and patients participating in our outpatient programs by providing care and close supervision during transit. The Driver develops positive relationships with patients and co-workers and follows facility policies and procedures and providing crisis intervention as necessary.

This position is funded through December 2025 as part of the Psychiatric Hospital Grant with potential expansion through December 2026.

Education/Licensure/Certification:

Current Tennessee Driver License (Class D with F "for hire" endorsement) with clear driving record is required.

Handle With Care certification (training provided)

BLS certification (training provided)

Experience:

1-3 years customer service experience is required. Experience in psychiatric evaluation, triage, and crisis stabilization preferred; strong assessment skills required; excellent telephone etiquette and tact; ability to interact effectively with persons of widely diverse roles, backgrounds, cultures, and socio-economic classes, those in crisis or resistant or negative toward organization; effective oral and written communication skills; basic data entry skills preferred; organizational, time management, problem solving, crisis management skills necessary; flexibility, creativity, and ability to manage stress necessary. Understanding of EMTALA guidelines, mandatory screening agent usage, HIPAA regulations, and third-party payer knowledge preferred.
