The Corporate Information Services Department is seeking a dynamic and talented Manager - IS Workday Release.
The Manager - IS Workday Release is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the deployment of Workday updates and enhancements across the organization. This role requires a strong understanding of Workday functionalities, excellent project management skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and efficient release cycles.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive Workday release calendar.
- Plan and coordinate Workday update schedules, including feature enhancements, patches, and new releases.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and prioritize releases.
- Ensure alignment of release activities with business objectives and timelines.
- Communicate release plans, status, and updates to stakeholders, including HR, IT, and executive leadership.
- Provide training and support to end-users on new features and changes.
- Develop and distribute release notes and other relevant documentation.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with Workday updates and deployments.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations during the release process.
- Conduct impact analysis for new Workday releases and updates.
- Coordinate and oversee testing activities, including unit, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Work closely with QA teams to ensure the quality and stability of Workday updates.
- Manage and resolve any issues or defects identified during testing.
- Continuously review and improve release management processes and tools.
- Implement best practices and industry standards for Workday release management.
- Stay current with Workday features, updates, and industry trends.
Qualifications
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5 - 8 years of related experience required.
- 3 years of experience managing Workday releases or similar ERP systems.
- Strong project management skills, with a proven track record of managing complex projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Workday functionalities and configuration.
- Experience with testing and quality assurance methodologies.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Workday certification in HCM, Financials, or other relevant modules preferred.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification preferred.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and tools preferred.
- Prior experience in change management and organizational development preferred.
Travel: Up to 5%.
