Poplar Springs Hospital in Petersburg, VA is seeking a Psychiatric - Mental Health Physician to provide medical services for inpatient psychiatry. Ideal candidates will have experience in Behavioral Health and will conduct medical evaluations, consultations, and oversee nurse practitioners. Poplar Springs Hospital, situated in Petersburg, VA seeks a Physician for medical services catering to inpatient psychiatry. We consider Family Medicine, Internal Medicine and Hospitalist physicians for this position. Responsibilities include conducting medical histories & physicals, consultations, follow-ups for inpatient psychiatry patients and oversight of NPs.
The ideal candidate will be able to work either full-time or Part-time work schedule with day shift hours, with weekend call once per month. We prefer candidates with experience or a strong interest in Behavioral Health.
Position Focus :
This role emphasizes addressing the medical aspects of psychiatric patients rather than purely psychiatric issues.
