Performs & documents searches & belongings inventories accordingto policy. Conducts educational group therapy sessions with the supervision of a counselor or registered nurse.

• Qualifications
• Reading and numerical competency; 2 year college (Behavioral Science or Nursing) or Emergency MedicalTechnician preferred.
• None required, prefer 1 yr. in a JCAHO accredited hospital on a psychiatric or chemical dependency unit as apsychiatric aide, mental health worker or technician.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider course according to RQI program guidelines must be completed duringnew hire orientation prior to working in a clinical setting. LMS assigned First Aide due within 30 days of hire andannually thereafter. Handle with Care required with new hire orientation.
• Must be able to identify and address the special needs for adolescent, adult and geriatric patients and communicatewith the patient. Ability to work as member of an interdisciplinary team.
