This position is non-exempt and will be paid on an hourly basis.
Schedule : Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Benefits :Compensation : The initial pay range for this position upon commencement of employment is projected to fall between $21.00 and $26.24. Position Summary :
The IT Support Technician plays a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive technical support, from troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues to installing, configuring, and maintaining computer systems and applications. Collaborating with the IT team, this role ensures the setup and maintenance of network infrastructure, responds promptly to IT service requests, and implements security measures. In addition, the IT Support Technician diligently records IT challenges and their resolutions in our help-desk ticketing system. The IT Support Technician meticulously documents IT issues and resolutions within our help-desk ticketing system.
Requirements
Job Duties and Responsibilities :
- Provide first-level technical support, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and applications.
- Assist in the setup and maintenance of network infrastructure, prioritizing secure configurations.
- Respond to IT service requests and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with IT team members to implement, monitor, and maintain security measures, including regular updates and patches. Conduct end-user training on basic system functionalities.
- Conduct end-user training on basic system functionalities and cybersecurity best practices.
- Document and maintain accurate records of IT issues and resolutions
- Stay informed about the latest technology trends and developments.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or certification in computer science or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in desktop support or a similar technical support role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows systems.
- Familiarity with hardware components, software applications, and network protocols.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting software and hardware issues.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with staff and explain technical concepts.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Customer-oriented mindset with a focus on providing quality support.
